Spider-Man 2 dresses Peter Parker for Brand New Day and Marvel Tōkon
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is still expanding Peter Parker's wardrobe. The PC version now includes one suit inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day and another based on MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, with the Fresh Start appearance already receiving its first post-launch improvements.

Even after the main story is over, Peter Parker apparently still has room in his closet. Nixxes and Insomniac added two new outfits to the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on July 28 with update 2.727.0.0: the Fresh Start Suit and the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Suit.
The first is directly inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The second brings a much more stylized interpretation of the hero from MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls into Insomniac's game. They are two costumes, but they also act as two links to other contemporary versions of Spider-Man.
Brand New Day enters the game
The Fresh Start Suit is the more immediately recognizable addition. Its inclusion allows Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to echo the character's new cinematic chapter without pretending this is new story content. This is an outfit for Peter Parker, not a new mission or expansion.
Nixxes also continued working on the appearance after release. On August 11, the studio deployed hotfix 2.810.0.0, with the announced change specifically improving the Fresh Start Suit based on player feedback.
That detail is notable because it shows how visible suits have become within the continued support of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. In a game where changing an outfit does not fundamentally alter the gameplay loop, much of their appeal comes from connecting Insomniac's version of Spider-Man to the character's many other incarnations.
MARVEL Tōkon joins the wardrobe too
The second addition works differently. The MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Suit adopts a far more graphic look, with proportions and details that clearly evoke the visual direction created for Arc System Works' Marvel fighting game.
It stands out much more dramatically from Peter's traditional costumes. Fresh Start relies on the immediate recognition of a movie-inspired design, while the Tōkon version feels closer to importing an entire visual language from one game into another.
That is arguably the most entertaining part of the update. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 temporarily becomes a small crossroads for the wider property. The same Peter Parker can now carry visual traces of Marvel's cinema output or of a fighting game with a radically different artistic identity.
Not a major update, but a neat piece of Spider-Man culture
The scope should not be exaggerated. Update 2.727.0.0, released on July 28, focuses here on the two additional suits, while the August 11 hotfix improves Fresh Start. Players waiting for another campaign or a significant overhaul of Marvel's Spider-Man 2's mechanics will not find either in this update.
For a game that has always treated its extensive costume selection as an interactive museum of Spider-Man history, however, these additions fit naturally. They extend that idea with particularly current references and reinforce a simple truth: beyond statistics and abilities, changing suits remains part of the fun when spending another evening swinging between Manhattan skyscrapers.
